PZL.23 Karaś was one of the basic bomber aircraft of the Polish Air Force during the September Campaign in 1939
Hersteller: COBI

PZL.23 Karaś was one of the basic bomber aircraft of the Polish Air Force during the September Campaign in 1939. It was designed at Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze (PZL) and entered service in 1936. The plane was a design that could accommodate three people: a pilot, an observer and a gunner. The armament included machine guns and bombs. Although the PZL.23 Karaś was a relatively technically advanced aircraft at the time of its introduction into service, it quickly became obsolete in the face of rapidly developing aviation technology.

The legend of the Polish skies from 1939 was precisely reproduced using COBI construction blocks. The detailed model was designed in a scale of 1:32, which matches the other aircraft from the Historical Collection. For this set, a completely new block was created in the shape of a characteristic cockpit cover, which can accommodate three crew figures. The plane has historical markings printed on it, which are also on the underside of the wings. The entire bottom is made of the new light blue color of the blocks. In addition to the PZL.23 machine guns, Karaś is equipped with a set of strap-on bombs. Figures of aviators in characteristic leather suits have prints on their backs, as well, and look fantastic. The set also includes an impressive brick with a printed map showing the situation in Poland in the first days of 1939. This awesome model of the Polish bomber can be placed on movable wheels or on a block display base with transparent elements. The whole set is complemented by a plate with a printed aircraft checkerboard and the name of the model. This wonderful historical set not only commemorates Polish pilots but is also a testimony to the military technology of that time. Crucians were among the first to fight heavy battles at the very beginning of World War II! PZL.23 Crucian is a must-have for collectors, aviation and history fans! Build history, piece by piece, with COBI!
