Mitsubishi A6M5 is one of the best fighters of the initial period of World War II. Model 0 Navy Fighter had no official name. The number 0 means the end of the year 2600 according to the Japanese calendar in which the aircraft was designed. Hence the popular term "Zero" invented by the British. The aircraft was designed by engineer Jirō Horikoshi in 1940, commissioned by the Imperial Japanese Navy. The model was constantly modified during the war.

The machine was characterized by high speed and maneuverability. These features were achieved, among others at the expense of armor and self-sealing fuel tanks. Zero was armed with two 20 mm cannons and two 77 mm machine guns synchronized with the propeller. The plane could also take two 30 or 60 kg bombs. For kamikaze suicide missions, the plane could take two 250 kg bombs. It was not installed from an additional fuel tank at that time.

Throughout the war, Mitsubishi were Japanese Navy fighter aircraft. At the end of the war, planes were used in kamikaze formations.

Assembling block fighters from World War II is a great way to spend time with your child. It is also an opportunity to learn about historical topics. Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero construction blocks set contains 280 elements and one pilot figure. The model of the fighter aircraft from COBI was created with attention to the smallest details.

The plane has a movable propeller and ailerons. Its rotating wheels with rubber tires can be extended from the chassis in the take-off or landing position. The cabin can be opened to seat the pilot figure. The plane was covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off even during intense fun. Stickers have been completely dispensed with in this set. Prints reflect the painting and equipment of the aircraft from the war period.
